Ronda Rousey wins again at UFC 190 with 34 second knockout of Bethe Correia.

Ronda Rousey is still the most dominant female athlete on the planet after a 34-second knockout of Bethe Correia at UFC 190.

Rousey entered the cage to the sound of jeers and boos from the Brazilian crowd supporting the home-nation fighter in her attempts to become the first person to stop Rousey.

However, it only took a right punch to Correia’s left ear to knock the Brazilian down and allowed Rousey to remain undefeated. Those jeers and boos quickly changed as the crowd stood in awe and chanted Rousey’s name following her defence of the UFC Women’s Batamweight Championship.

Rousey’s last four fights have lasted a combined 130 seconds. It is expected she faces Miesha Tate for the third-time – the only fighter to take her past the first round – in Melbourne at UFC 193 after comments made by UFC President Dana White last week.

After the fight, Rousey dedicated the victory to the recently passed away wrestling icon ‘Rowdy’ Roddy Piper who she holds his nickname.

Also on the card, Mauricio Rua defeated Rogueira Nogueira by decision in a re-match from ten-years ago. It was a night to forget for the Nogueira twins as Rodrigo Nogueria also lost on decision to Stefan Struve.

Australian Soa Palelei lost to Antonio ‘Big Foot’ Silva by knockout – the Brazilian’s first win since February 2013.
